Makeup Monday: Matte or Moisturizing?

The hardest decision I have to make each morning while I’m doing my makeup is… Matte or Moisturizing lipstick? Sometimes this decision requires strategic thought such as what the rest of my makeup looks like, how long my day is going to be, etc. Other times, this decision is based solely off my mood.

Moisturizing lipsticks are usually my go-to. They glide on very smoothly and keep my lips hydrated throughout the day. With ingredients like shea butter, the RealHer Moisturizing Lipsticks add that extra sheen without having to apply a gloss. The RealHer Moisturizing Lipsticks are one of our best sellers! They come in a variety of shades ranging from everyday nudes to special occasion bolds. With 12 shades, you are sure to find something that not only makes you look your best, but also feel your best.

Great nude shades for a quick everyday lip are “No Filter” and “”I Love Myself.” These will make you look put together without having to experiment with any bold shades. More of a pinky girl? Opt for “Women Rule the World” or “So Sassy.” These shades contain different undertones, for example “Women Rule the World” is more of a bright pink with no other undertones while “So Sassy” is a peachy pink. If you are adventurous and love to experiment with bold shades, then I would definitely recommend “Be Yourself Be RealHer” and “Boss.” “Be Yourself Be RealHer” is a very deep wine red which is great for a hot date or a night out. To make your lips stand out even more, go for a neutral eye look so all the attention is drawn to your bold lips. “Boss” is a rich plum shade. When I think of wearing this shade, I feel empowered, I feel as if I am in charge, I feel confident and in control. Shoot, we should change the name from “Boss” to “CEO” ;). This daring color demands attention and it’s a universal shade that complements a wide range of complexions and enhances your natural features. As much as we don’t think about it this way, certain shades do spark unique emotions in each of us. Makeup should be more than just beautiful color and pretty packaging, it should speak to you.
