The 2017 Survival Guide to Coachella
Crowds, alcohol, minimal clothing, dehydration… these are the thoughts that come to mind when I think of Coachella. With the highly anticipated music festival right around the corner, I wanted to share some tips that I feel everyone should know about whether you’re a first timer or a veteran. Read and share with your Coachella crew!
- Wear comfortable footwear: Now I know all the ladies want to look cute in their #CoachellaInspo outfits, but please do not kill yourself wearing heels. Hot weather + drinking + uncomfortable heels is the perfect recipe for a fashion fail. Your outfit can still be on point with a cute pair of sandals.
- Wear layers: With the weather as hot as it’s going to be, you want to be able to remove layers throughout the day, but also put them back on at night when the temperatures cool down. A cute idea for a layered outfit is a lacey bralette, with a loose tank to show off the bralette and then a light cardigan or cover up.

- Set a meeting location and time: This is key! Do not assume you will be able to find your crew after you guys split up. Your phone may lose service or it may die, but if your crew has decided on a location and time to meet up, you can rest assured.
- Eat your fruits and vegetables: Try to minimize your junk food intake as this is not going to help you when you feel like you’re about to pass out. Eat full meals and snacks in between. This one is a no brainer, but in between your alcoholic beverages, make sure you’re drinking lots of water. Depending on how true your friends are, no one wants to spend their time taking care of you because you got sick.
- What to pack: Leave your Louis Vuitton backpack at the house and opt for a more practical bag to carry your must have items. These items should include - water, wallet, sunscreen, necessary medication, gum, hand sanitizer, blotting sheets and anything else you want easy access to.
